There are various medications used for the treatment of intolerable pain that one develops after life-threatening surgeries,injuries,osteoarthritis etc. .For treating such intolerable pain doctors prescribe non opioid based painkillers to avoid any side effects. But when non opioid based painkillers become ineffective they prefer prescribing roxicodone. It is an opioid formulated drug.It contains oxycodone hydrochloride,known to be a potential opioid agonist. It is harmful if used for a longer run as it has the potential for addiction. It is generally recommended not to use it for acute pain.
